Audible Love: Live

Voted as one of Style Weekly’s Best R&B/Soul Artist in the 2024 Reader’s Poll, Ms. Jaylin Brown’s eclectically elegant tunes are steeped in emotion. Inspired by artists like Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Lianne La Havas, and Jeff Buckley, Ms. Brown’s voice has been noted as a “warm hug”, full of nostalgia and healing. As she maneuvers through melodies with ease, Ms. Brown sends love through song and captivates all who listen.

Her roots in Richmond, VA are heavily reflected in her music, holding influence from styles such as Jazz, Americana, Rock & Roll, Blues, Soul, Gospel, and R&B. In addition to her range of experience in contemporary music, Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in classical music and opera from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

In recent years, you can find Ms. Jaylin Brown’s voice featured in multiple productions including Pharrell’s Voices of Fire on Neflix (2020), the title track of McKinley Dixon’s Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!, and starred as Julie D’Aubigny in the world premiere of Julie, Monster, a contemporary baroque opera.

In her most recent release, Spring Song (Live at the Sunroom), Ms. Jaylin Brown sets her listeners adrift on memory bliss. “My hope,” she says, “is that this song serves as a reflection, where listeners find themselves imagining both the first signs of Spring and love.”

Ms. Jaylin Brown is a recent graduate of the Berklee College of Music Valencia, Spain campus, with her master’s degree in contemporary performance and production. She has returned to her home in Virginia and is excited to share her new music and experiences. Visit her calendar at msjaylinbrown.com/shows to check out upcoming shows in your area!
